Warning over old-style driving licences

COMPANY car users with old-style driving licences are being warned to photocopy them before sending them back to the DVLA for replacement with the new-style card.

The advice comes amid concerns that the new licences are being delivered with key entitlements removed. This would mean drivers are suddenly not allowed to use categories of vehicle they have been up until that point.

In some cases, members of the Association of Car Fleet Operators East Anglia meeting heard, drivers have only discovered their entitlement is missing when they have been stopped by police for other offences.
