Sensible suit, but a supercar heart

AUDI has joined forces with its Lamborghini supercar division to launch the ultimate businessman’s express – the S8 quattro.

Powered by a 5.2-litre version of the Lamborghini Gallardo’s V10 engine, the S8 offers 443bhp and 399lb-ft of torque, endowing the sizeable saloon with a 0-62mph acceleration time of just 5.1 seconds and a top speed electronically limited to 155mph. Audi claims the S8 will return 20.3mpg.

Prices will be announced closer to the car’s UK launch in April next year, although with the current range-topping 6.0 W12 selling for £73,000, don’t expect much change from £85,000.
