A HEALTHCARE company is on target to have the largest fleet of smart cars in the country.

Leeds-based Springfield Healthcare Group has recently received its 50th smart fortwo and the group is planning to increase its fleet to 150 by early next year.

The group, which uses the vehicles to visit elderly residents, claims that since it began providing employees with fortwos, job enquiries have soared.

Noel Baden-Thomas, chief executive of Springfield Healthcare Group, said: ‘Recruitment used to be a problem, but the smarts act as powerful mobile advertisements.’
