KEY appointments in the fleet industry.

  • TREVOR Houghton-Berry, the former BMW GB executive responsible for the return of the MINI, has joined Lotus as head of commercial operations. Houghton-Berry left MINI in January, four years after relaunching the car under BMW’s parentage. He then spent several months as head of marketing for driving instructor training firm LVG. He will be responsible for developing sales as Lotus prepares to launch a raft of new models.

  • MARCUS Puddy has joined Lloyds TSB autolease as fleet solutions consultant for the corporate business team. He joined from his previous role as fleet manager at Lloyds TSB Group, where he looked after 10,000 drivers. His new role will see him advise on fleet management and policy, including fleet policy design and implementation, risk management and duty of care, employee remuneration packages, fleet supplier negotiations and environmental compliance.

  • ACCIDENT management firm Nationwide Network Services has a new managing director in the shape of Steve Thompson.He joins the company from Phones4U, but started his career in the motor industry with Silver Shield and Kwik-Fit. Operating from the Hertford head office, Thompson will be responsible for the strategic direction of the company and takes on the overall management of the team.

  • A NEW product has meant a new sales coordinator for fleet management company Fleet Support Group. Gary Kent will help drive sales of the Risk Master programme, which manages work-related road and driver safety. He has 25 years of fleet experience and is a previous Fleet News’ Award winner.

  • ROLLS-Royce has appointed Graeme Grieve as sales and marketing director. He arrives from BMW, where he spent more than 15 years, most recently as sales director.

  • PARTS dealer SEL-Imperial Ltd has appointed a new Citroen parts specialist to its incoming sales team. Andrew Thompson brings with him more than 10 years’ Citroen parts experience, having previously worked for several major motor groups.
