Fuel fear allayed

FUEL experts were this week attempting to allay motorists’ fears that the explosion at an oil refinery in Hemel Hempstead will affect supply levels.

The Petrol Retailers’ Association said supplies were plentiful, even though the blast on Sunday destroyed up to 5% of Britain’s petrol stocks.
