FLEET News and Fleet News Europe are helping drive forward a campaign to save 25,000 lives on the roads by signing up to the European Road Safety Charter.

As part of their commitment to help cut road deaths by 50% by 2010, the newspaper and the websites and events it runs will help promote road safety issues to fleets and raise awareness of the benefits of operating safe fleets.

Launched by the European Commission this year, the European Road Safety Charter is much more than a policy document.

It is an invitation by the European Commission to take concrete actions, assess results and further heighten awareness about the need to reduce road accident fatalities.

Fleet News and Fleet News Europe are one of the only newspapers to formally sign up to the charter. So far, more than 200 organisations throughout Europe have signed up.
