Geneva Show Preview: C6 launched to tackle exec market

CITROEN is to take on the difficult executive car market with a new model – the stunning C6.

The car, which continues Citroen’s run of form in producing radical-looking cars, will be pitched at the top end of the market with two automatic-only V6 engines – a 208bhp 2.7-litre V6 HDi engine with particulate filter, and 215bhp 3.0-litre V6 – as well as a raft of technological features.

Citroen wants fleets to see its new car as a ‘lounge on wheels’ with electrically-controlled rear seats, a soft diffusion air conditioning system, a ‘whisper quiet ride’, laminated glass side windows and new suspension with variable damping.

The C6 also gets head-up display, departure warning system, front and rear parking sensors, Xenon directional headlamps, cruise control and a speed limiter.
