FLEETS have given their backing to formal fleet training by attending a sell-out conference giving them expert advice on their roles.

Fleet consultancy Fleet Audits held the two-day intensive course, which was attended by fleet managers and administrators, in Fareham.

The Basic Fleet Management course covered all current topics, including duty of care, health and safety, taxation and the environment.

Chris Chandler, director of training for Fleet Audits: said: ‘It was great to start the year with a capacity course with such keen delegates. The role of the fleet manager is becoming increasingly more complex and 2005 is set to be another challenging year for fleet. These managers are now better equipped to tackle these challenges head on.’

Fleet Audits is running the next Basic Fleet Management course on April 26 and 27 with two Intermediate Fleet Management courses on March 8 and 9 and April 12 and 13.
