Gozzard heads national sales team

  • PAUL Gozzard has been promoted to Nissan LCV fleet sales manager, responsible for promoting Nissan LCV through its national dealer network. Gozzard has worked as LCV fleet area manager for the north at Nissan for the past two years and in the new role replaces Nick Andrews who has headed up the fleet van team since it began in 2002.
    Gozzard said: ‘I am looking forward to stepping up to the challenge my new role presents and heading up an experienced team of area sales managers and special vehicle operations manager.’
    Nissan has also increased its corporate sales team from two to five people, including Neil Brereton who has joined as fleet aftersales manager and Caroline Evans as the group’s new public sector sales manager.

  • CITROEN has appointed Scott Westerby as commercial vehicle sales manager, reporting to Robert Handyside, commercial vehicle operations manager.
    Westerby has worked at Citroen for four years with his current role being commercial sales manager responsible for the south east. Prior to joining Citroen he worked in a number of sales roles at Iveco Ford, Jaguar, Jeep and Saab.
    In his new role he will support all activities in the commercial vehicle department, working closely with dealers.

  • TONY Brand has joined Motorconsult – which provides service, maintenance and repair (SMR) predictive cost data – as commercial manager. He brings experience gained in motor manufacturer aftersales to dealer management systems and has worked as a sales and marketing director at Global Automotive and as managing director at Auto Data Network.

  • CAP Commercial Vehicle Monitor has recruited a new forecast manager to take over from John Watts who has moved to manage the CAP product, CAPcalc. Paul Daws is now responsible for van and truck values forecasting and brings more than 25 years’ experience in the commercial vehicle sector to the role. Daws started as a mechanic at Volvo in 1979 and has worked with several manufacturers including Mercedes and Iveco.

  • VEHICLE management group Lombard has appointed Richard Hill to the board as head of sales direct (introduced and consumer). He will be responsible for the existing broker division of Lombard’s vehicle management arm and developing new business. Hill joins from Manheim Europe where he was group manufacturer sales director and brings a total of 12 years’ experience working in fleet funding, finance and remarketing in senior posts.

  • PAUL James and Brian Scully have joined ALD Automotive as corporate sales managers. James joins after 25 years with Lloyds TSB autolease and has held a number of leasing roles including purchasing manager, head of customer services and outsourcing manager. Scully’s career includes 13 years with international media company Pearson, including his most recent position as head of facilities management. He has also run his own procurement consultancy business providing purchasing expertise to major corporations.
