1. Driver checking and vetting
Check driver paperwork and references – a recent survey highlighted that 80% of companies have ineffective licence checking procedures! This is one of the easiest areas in which to introduce tighter controls, but often overlooked. Introduce reference checks from previous companies to ensure that the information is valid.

Fleet Telematics is the result of a year-long pilot programme conducted as a joint venture between Norwich Union and leading technology company Cybit. It is a market-leading product with a unique combination of fleet insurance and telematics.
Companies whose vehicles are fitted with Cybit’s Fleetstar-Online can work with Norwich Union specialists to monitor vehicle use and safety issues, in order to support effective risk management techniques. By meeting insurance related key performance indicators, customers’ insurance premiums can be fixed for up to 3 years. In addition, they can earn up to 16% premium rebate annually.
