Advertorial: Volkswagen Passat

Why choose the Passat?
We think we know what your drivers want from their company car. Status. Good looks. Comfort. Performance. And we believe, as a company fleet manager, you are looking for the same virtues. Plus low insurance ratings. Award-winning aftersales service.* Good fuel consumption. High residual values and low whole life costs. And, most important of all, a great pricing deal.

Take a look at the beautifully crafted Volkswagen Passat. It ticks all the boxes.

Quite simply, the Passat is a statement of class. It has always been one of the most beautifully engineered cars among its peers, with a high specification across the range. The outstanding finish of its flowing aerodynamic curves, coupled with the car’s many luxurious features and impressive performance, ensures every journey is a special experience.

Behind the wheel it delivers comfortable roadhandling and refined performance through a range of highly efficient engines. Combined fuel consumption for the Trendline 1.9TDI 100 PS 5-speed manual Passat is an impressive 50.4mpg, with 39.2mpg on those short call-to-call urban hops and a gratifying 60.1mpg on longer journeys. The equivalent figures for the Trendline 2.0-litre petrol engine are a reassuring 34.9mpg, followed by 24.4mpg for short journeys and 46.3mpg on long hauls.

Comfort and Safety
Moving on from performance, let’s talk about driver comfort and safety. The Passat now comes with twin front and side airbags, plus curtain airbags, and head restraints as standard. The three-point centre seat belt increases rear passenger safety. The ABS includes a Brake Assist System, Electronic Stabilisation Programme and an Electronic Differential Lock to ensure you are always in safe hands.

All our Passats offer climate control, an eight-speaker CD player, electric windows all round and an alarm with remote central locking.

And whatever you want to carry in your Passat, you’ll find room for it. The boot has more than ample space that’s easy to access. With an unevenly split folding rear seat, the car offers the versatility of a hatchback. ** (See footnote for figures).

What Car? praise
What Car? Magazine rated the Volkswagen Passat 2.0 Trendline Saloon a 4-star winner, praising the superb attention to detail and saying: ‘VW sets standards that others have had to match.” It’s full test verdict summed up the car like this: “Strong engines, a comfortable ride, lots of space and equipment, sensible running costs and formidable safety and security – in a superb family car.’

The luxurious Passat Highline
If you are looking for a little more luxury, then the Passat Highline is the special new edition in the range. Its deluxe extra touches include leather upholstery with heated front seats to warm up those chilly mornings, parking sensors – great for crowded city streets – and the unique Michigan alloy wheels as standard.

Add in a six-disc CD autochanger, electronic climate control, heated washer jets, chrome side window surrounds and multi-function computer and you have a car you won’t want to get out of.
And all this luxury is yours from just £16,585.

Save £1,000 with the Passat Trendline offer Alternatively, you could take advantage of the Passat Trendline offer of £1,000 off the recommended on-the-road price.

This offer represents outstanding value, taking the old rrp of £14,995 for the 2.0-litre 130 PS 5-speed manual Passat Trendline Saloon to just £13,995, with the 1.9TDI 100 PS Passat Saloon dropping from £15,360 to £14,360.

So you get all the legendary Volkswagen standards of build quality, engineering and reliability at a remarkable price.

Drivers choose Volkswagen Have we convinced you? A recent survey revealed that 69% of drivers would consider a Volkswagen compared to a car from our leading rival manufacturer.*
If drivers had the choice it's nice to know they'd choose a Volkswagen. You like your drivers - and your commerical director - to be happy. We want to make you happy, too. And we believe we know how. But don't take our word for it. Perhaps that's why half of the 181,000 cars sold by Volkswagen UK last year went into the fleet market.

The Volkswagen Passat - beautifully crafted, beautiful to drive.
