New 4x4 range announced by Porsche

PORSCHE, which sees a significant proportion of its sales paid for with business cheques, has introduced a new range of four-wheel drive versions of the recently-launched 911.

Available from the end of October, the Carrera 4 and Carrera 4S are priced at £62,930 and £69,900 respectively.

Sharing the same flat-six engines as their two-wheel drive stablemates, the new models have between 5% and 40% of drive permanently going through the front wheels, giving added traction over the rear-wheel drive Carrera 2 models.

As well as four-wheel drive, the Carrera 4 and 4S also feature a 44mm wider rear end.
