THE RoSPA Advanced Drivers’ Association (RoADA) is celebrating 50 years of helping to make UK roads safer.

The anniversary was marked with a Golden Jubilee reception at the House of Lords this week, with a speech from Transport Minister Dr Stephen Ladyman. More than 50 RoADA groups from across the country were represented. The organisation began life in 1955 as the League of Safe Drivers and was taken over by RoSPA in 1980.
