FLEET software firms are slowing the industry by talking about products that do not yet exist, according to software and road safety specialist Jaama.

Managing director Jason Francis says there is a slowdown in technology progress that can sometimes be directly attributed to software firms talking about products still in development.

Francis said: ‘The knock-on effect of companies talking about products which do not yet exist is that potential buyers tend to wait and see. If several suppliers adopt the same approach, then the cumulative effect is an ongoing cycle of delayed decisions.’
