  • MOTOR insurance claims management specialist WNS Assistance has appointed Mark Pierce as its new sales director. Pierce joins from claims management provider GAB Robins, where he worked for 16 years.

    WNS Assistance currently handles more than 250,000 motor claims a year on behalf of insurers, brokers and large commercial fleets, but plans to double this number by the end of next year.

    Pierce has been appointed to support this growth and extend the company’s services from motor claims management into other areas. He will be based at WNS Assistance’s head office in Ipswich.

  • VAN maker LDV has appointed a new executive director to its global purchasing and business improvement department.

    Keith Stanton joins LDV from Ford, where he was director at the company’s Transit plant in Southampton.

    Stanton will be a member of the board of directors and will be responsible for all aspects of LDV purchasing, including the implementation of business and process improvement programmes in all areas of the company.

  • SPECIALIST van panel maker Advanced Technical Panels has appointed a new sales representative.

    John Brookes, who is based in Cheshire, will be looking after customers in the North West and Midlands.

    Advanced Technical Panels is the pre-finished and overlaid panels arm of distributor James Latham.

  • CRASH repair and performance parts importer/distributor SEL-Imperial has recruited Hull University graduate Johnathan Revell to join its IT department. SEL-Imperial has recently been appointed an authorised Citroen parts distributor and one of Revell’s first tasks will be to ensure any new systems and procedures from Citroen are integrated smoothly into the company’s existing IT infrastructure.

  • MARK Hall has been appointed marketing director for Toyota GB. Hall has worked for Toyota GB for 16 years, in the last five years undertaking two key Toyota marketing general management roles overseeing marketing communications and vehicle marketing. He will be responsible for directing marketing operations.

    Hall replaces Matt Harrison, who moves to Toyota Motor Marketing (Europe) in Brussels as general manager of corporate planning.

  • TREVOR Negus has been appointed plant manager at the Ford’s Transit van assembly facility in Southampton.

    Negus is currently plant manager at Ford Australia’s Broadmeadows car assembly plant in Melbourne. He joined Ford in Australia as a graduate trainee in 1987, working in the purchasing organisation before moving into Broadmeadows vehicle assembly operations He became vehicle assembly plant manager in April 2001.
