The 2000 X-registered Peugeot Partner van in red had only covered 117 miles, having been supplied new by the Post Office to the set of East Enders, where it only came out for filming and remained in nearby storage the rest of the time. The van, which has spent the last five years mingling with such characters as the Slaters, the Moons, the Fowlers and the Mitchells, was in excellent condition as befits the mileage.

Karen Bond, Light Commercial Manager at BCA Blackbushe commented ‘With the combination of the low mileage, good condition and a television history we were expecting a lot of interest in this van and we were not disappointed.’

Competitive bidding in the auction hall saw the Partner sell for £2,550, well ahead of guide values. A further 200 light vans were offered in the sale from a variety of vendors including BT, Citroen, Northgate Vehicle Hire and further vehicles from the Royal Mail alongside local fleet and dealer stock.
