Colour code

A SCHEME showing car buyers how environmentally-friendly their vehicles are has been officially launched. Cars will get one of six labels ranging from red to green for the cleanest engines.

The scheme was unveiled in Guildford last week by Transport Minister Dr Stephen Ladyman. A total of 40 car manufacturers have signed up for the voluntary scheme.
