Lex profits increase to £23.8m

LEX Vehicle Leasing has become one of the most profitable contract hire and leasing companies in the country after announcing its half-year results.

In the first six months, Lex grew its profit before tax to £23.8m from £21.5m, an increase of 11%. Lex Momentum, its advisory service launched in 2004, was a key factor in the growth.

Jon Walden, Lex’s managing director, said: ‘We are very pleased with these results. They confirm our progress as a business in recent years and, in particular, the value of investments we have made in IT systems, process improvement and in our people.’
