BMW chose its home motor show of Frankfurt to unveil the hard-top sister to the Z4 Roadster (pictured), as well as the latest engine for the 6-series.

The Z4 Coupe Concept Car is powered by BMW’s new 3.0-litre straight six, pushing out 265bhp and 232 lb-ft of torque. The stiffened bodyshell promises a high standard of driving dynamics. The latest incarnation of the 6-series sports a new 4.8-litre eight-cylinder engine, previously seen in the 750i.

The unit develops 367bhp and 361 lb-ft of torque and will also feature in the 6-series convertible. Both models will carry the name 650i, replacing the 645Ci.
