Premiership giant signs up GM car fleet

ARSENAL has signed a two year contract with General Motors to provide 38 select models to the football club’s staff.

GM will provide a number of 9-3s for senior staff, while Vauxhall Astra and Zafira’s will go to backroom staff on a two year/36,000 mile leasing contract.

There are also a number of Vauxhall light commercial vehicles, including a 17-seat Movano 2.5 CDTi minibus for taking Arsenal’s academy players to and from the Arsenal training ground and a number of Vauxhall Zafiras supporting the club’s community activities throughout the UK.

Adrian Ford, commercial director at Arsenal, said: "We felt that with the opening of our new Emirates stadium we needed a new fleet of vehicles to meet our mobility needs, and Saab and Vauxhall fitted the bill perfectly.

"They were able to provide us with the right balance of cars and vans to suit our purposes at competitive leasing rates."
