FSI in shape for future

FLEET Synergy International (FSI), an alliance of fleet management firms across Europe, has been bought and will be operated as a joint venture between Lloyds TSB autolease and Athlon Car Lease International. Formed in 1971, FSI now operates in 35 countries covering Europe, America, Australia and Japan and has a combined fleet of more than one million vehicles.

Its chief executive officer, Hans Damen, retains his role but reports to a new board consisting of executives from its new owners.

Lloyds TSB autolease managing director Nigel Stead said: ‘The international market is becoming increasingly demanding and we wanted to meet this demand in the most effective way.’
