Tiguan takes a bow

IT may still be labelled a concept, but this is what Volkswagen’s new small SUV model will look like – barring the orange tyres – when it arrives next year.

The Concept Tiguan made its world debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show yesterday and shows how the baby brother to the Touareg will look when production versions go on sale in mainland Europe and America late next year and in the UK in early 2008.

Few other details are available on the car, but expect it to be priced to match the new breed of SUVs, sitting between the Honda CR-V and Land Rover Freelander 2.
