Kwik-Fit in British Gas deal

UP to 10,000 commercial vehicles used by British Gas will undergo regular tyre wear and tear checks after the company signed a three-year deal with Kwik-Fit Fleet.

Mobile technicians will carry out quarterly checks on the vehicles in a move that assists British Gas in meeting its duty-of-care obligations. Other services, such as mobile tyre fitting, will also be provided to the company.

British Gas general manager – fleet, Colin Marriott, said: ‘Our customer-focused operation means there is little time for vehicles to be off the road.

‘We expect the majority of vehicles to be serviced by Kwik-Fit Fleet’s mobile technicians to ensure downtime is kept to a minimum. It is also vital that we meet all our at-work driving health and safety obligations and Kwik-Fit’s tyre inspection service will help achieve that.’
