A NEW booklet has been produced for public sector fleet managers to learn more about a groundbreaking £1 billion government fleet deal.

As revealed last week, more than 38 government departments and organisations will be supplied with vehicles from 15 manufacturers in a move that aims to cut costs by £100 million and help it meet its green motoring targets.

It has been led by the Department for Work and Pensions and the Office of Government Commerce (OGC) and is supported by key government departments, including the NHS Purchasing and Supply Agency, HM Revenue and Customs, HM Prison Service, the Environment Agency and the Government Car and Dispatch Agency.

Benefits of the deal are explained in a 12-page publication produced by the OGC aimed at public sector fleet managers.
