RS 4 family heads Audi’s product blitz

AUDI’S awesome RS 4 saloon will be joined by Avant estate and Cabriolet versions this summer.

The V8-powered models, which offer 414bhp and quattro four-wheel drive, will go on sale in June to join the saloon which goes on sale this month.

Prices have yet to be announced, although expect both to cost a few thousand pounds more than the £49,980 saloon.

The new RS 4 family make up just three of Audi’s 10 new launches during 2006.

Throughout the year they will be joined by the A6-based Allroad, new TT, S6 and S8, the Q7, A4 Cabriolet and, finally, the R8 supercar.

Audi has also announced that it will launch cars into six new segments within the next three years.
