Advertorial: A TOTAL Fleet Management Solution

TOTAL has launched an improved online reporting and management system for fleet managers.

Businesses will now be able to choose from three tailor-made packages, offering greater flexibility and management of their fleet cards, depending on the size of business and the requirements they have. These packages have been introduced because TOTAL has recognised that different businesses require different levels of fleet management and greater control over card use.

TOTAL Cards Services Manager, Luke Hodgson commented “These packages have been designed to suit customers, whatever the size of the business, whether it’s a national haulage company or a local delivery firm, TOTALCARD can help simplify the day to day running of a fleet and achieve cost-efficiencies.

More than this, TOTAL recognises that of the issues fleets face, card fraud has the potential to make large impact on fleet operational costs. It has therefore produced a service that will track abnormal fuel transactions and ensure the person in charge of the fleet is constantly updated. The card also allows businesses to reclaim VAT on all business fuel transactions.”

To make day to day card management even easier, TOTAL has included online card management and ebilling as standard allowing businesses the convenience of making amends to their cards 24/7 and reducing paperwork through electronic bills.

Optional tools:

Three optional tools are now available with TOTALCARD, for businesses that require greater control of their fleet management:

TRACKER - provides fleet managers with information such as where, when and how often a specific tank is filled. In addition emails are generated to alert managers to abnormal fuel activity.

PERFORMER – delivers a complete management reporting toolkit to help businesses control both cost and fleet-efficiencies plus analyse business expenditure. Performer is aimed at businesses that require a greater level of reporting

TOTAL BUSINESS – incorporates all of TOTAL’s fleet management tools, including all of the functions included in TRACKER and PERFORMER to offer businesses the full package. This is aimed at large commercial fleets that require a high level of management for their fleets

Further to these new packages, the TOTALCARD also offers the following benefits:

  • Nationwide Network Coverage TOTAL signed partnership agreements with BP and Shell to ensure TOTAL customers can use their fuel TOTAL fleet cards across BP, Shell and TOTAL forecourts throughout the UK. This means TOTALCARD holders have access to one of the largest cross acceptance networks in the UK thus offering fleets greater convenience as well as cost efficiencies all round.

  • Security TOTALCARD was the first over the counter fuelcard to offer PIN security and online authorisation helping cut down on card fraud.

  • Account Management TOTALCARD believes that the key to customer satisfaction is delivering a high level of service at all times - that’s why they have developed a responsive customer management programme. All customers have a named account manager who will agree an individual contact plan – being as involved as the customer requires.
