TOM Madden, director of customer affairs at remarketing company BCA, is retiring after 30 years with the firm.

Madden will step down on July 7, but will remain chairman of the Institute of Car Fleet Management until the end of 2006 – a position he has held since its inception 1996. He is also a fellow of the Institute of the Motor Industry.

Madden’s executive responsibility will be transferred to board colleagues. BCA chief executive Jon Olsen said: ‘Tom has been a great ambassador for BCA and the vehicle remarketing industry as a whole and his contribution has been significant.

‘After such a long and distinguished career, my colleagues and I wish Tom and his wife Christine every happiness on his retirement.’
