Hi-Q founder dies

THE founder of national car care group Hi-Q has died aged 87.

Jack Blacklock founded Tyre Services in 1949 with a home-based premises and one van.

The company quickly expanded under Blacklock’s control until it was bought by Goodyear which created Hi-Q Tyreservices in the 1970s.
