GENERAL Motors has opened a state-of-the-art design centre in Germany.

Based in Russelsheim, it will play a major part in creating new products from Saab, Opel and Vauxhall.

GM Europe president Carl-Peter Forster, said: ‘Design is already one of the most crucial elements of our business and will continue to be in the future. Therefore, our new facility provides our designers with the location, atmosphere and tools they need to maximise the creative process and design our future vehicles.’
