L200 roars ahead

MITSUBISHI has posted an all-time new vehicle sales record of 6,782 units for March, in a market that was down 2%.

The firm says the reaction to the new L200 has been unprecedented, with dealers taking 1,500 orders for the vehicle before it had even arrived in their showrooms.

A spokesman said: ‘The actual sales figure of 2,370 new L200s does not do justice to the demand created by the striking styling, competitive pricing and generous specification offered by the vehicle. Over 1,000 additional pick-up orders were taken in March and these will filter through as quarter two registrations.’
