ARE any of your drivers planning on driving to Europe this summer, either for the World Cup or for a holiday?

The sister site to Fleet NewsNet, www.companycardriver.co.uk, has put together a fact sheet on the essential information on travelling abroad.

The guide lists the key points in A-Z together with a table summarising requirements for each European country.

It will inform your drivers of best practice with everything from accessories, breakdown advice and car care to advice on queues, speeding and theft. A table within a PDF file includes the speed limits, drink-drive alcohol percentage limits and minimum driving ages of 15 different European countries. It also includes recommended and obligatory requirements for what your drivers should have with them in the car.

For example, it is mandatory for your drivers to have a warning triangle and reflective jacket when driving in Austria.

The PDF file is downloadable and can be easily printed out and handed on to your drivers. You can download the guide by visiting the ‘driving abroad’ page in the services section of CCD.
