Volvo is aiming its new S80 executive saloon at a more upmarket clientele.
Using the tagline ‘Scandiavian luxury’, it is targeting drivers who previously would not have considered the brand, opting instead for the big three Germans.
Certainly its unique interior should win admirers, but has the firm made it a good enough drive and given it a sharp enough exterior to truly compete with the like of the all-powerful 5-series?
The residuals are not far behind, but it will need to present the complete package to be a success.
