THE NHS patient transport supplier Global Solutions has bought 60 Renault Master vans for its fleet of non-emergency ambulances in a deal worth half a million pounds.

The vans have been converted into ambulances by Renault and its converter Oughtred and Harrison (Facilities) to GSL’s specifications and include air conditioning, electric ramps and adjustable suspension, as well as safety and medical equipment to EU standards.

GSL corporate communications director John Bates said: ‘The Renault Master was perfectly suited for our needs.’
