British International Motor Show 2006: Mitsubishi’s double debut

MITSUBISHI topped and tailed its line-up with two new models on show in London.

At the top is an even more powerful version of the Lancer Evolution IX – the FQ-360. With a top speed in excess of 160mph, the is available to order now priced at £35,504.

Rather more sedate is the “i”, a tiny city car which is already on sale in Japan. Mitsubishi’s UK arm is currently in negotiations with the factory in Japan regarding the possibility of importing it to the UK and is using the show to gauge reaction to the car.

If it does come to the UK, the “i” will be a rival to the likes of the Toyota Aygo, Peugeot 107 and Citroen C1. It uses a 600cc engine offering 64bhp.
