Holiday caution: French police on the lookout

DRIVERS are being warned of ultra-vigilant French police determined to crackdown on dangerous driving.

Hidden cameras have been put in place to catch speeding drivers and they could even lead to cars impounded if stopped, said the AA Motoring Trust.

In 2005 speed cameras in France pulled in £135 million in fines and the number of points put on licences rose 44%.
