THIS is the first picture of BMW’s revised X5, which will be available for the first time with seven seats.

The new SUV, which goes on sale next spring, features a new look, more powerful engines and new technology under the skin.

Three models will be available – 3.0-litre straight-six petrol and diesels and the high performance 4.8i.

Key additions to the new model include a new six-speed automatic gearbox, head-up display, run-flat tyres, active suspension and the option of active steering.

  • BMW will launch three new six-cylinder engines into the 3-series range from next month. The 335i features a twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre petrol engine offering 306bhp while the 335d uses a twin-turbo 3.0-litre diesel producing 286bhp. Also new is the 325d – a 3.0-litre turbodiesel with 197bhp.
