HONDA has finally taken the wraps off the production version of its Civic Type R.

Due on sale next March, the hot Civic uses a reworked version of the 2.0-litre engine producing 200bhp – giving 0-62mph in 6.6 seconds and a top speed of 146mph.
Changes to the engine centre mainly on massaging the torque curve by lowering the point at which the VTEC valve technology kicks in.
Prices have yet to be announced.
