He will be responsible for managing the 1,500-vehicle fleet, contract-hired through ALD Automotive. His remit will include risk management, driver training, vehicle acquisition and the roll-out of a new safety policy, which is set to go live next month.
He joins from Banbury-based Fountains, where he also worked as a fleet manager for more than two years.
Harris has more than 13 years’ experience in the motor industry, including a fleet manager role at Gratte Brothers in London.
He also spent time working on the Rover demonstrator fleet organising track tests and ride-and-drive events.
