QUEEN’S Don’t Stop Me Now and Meat Loaf’s Bat Out of Hell top a poll of songs favoured by van drivers in the UK while on the move.

Girls Aloud, Robbie Williams and The Killers also feature in the top 10 list, compiled by commercial van buying company vansunited.co.uk.

More than a third cited Radio1 DJ Chris Moyles as their favourite radio personality, followed by Steve Wright (12%) and Terry Wogan (11%).

And almost three-quarters voted the humble radio as the item they could not live without in their van.

Director Neil Addley said: ‘Today’s commercial vehicles have a range of high-tech navigation and entertainment systems to choose from and so it’s been interesting to discover the importance van drivers still place on the humble radio as a way of staying entertained, avoiding traffic congestion and coping with the pressures of getting from A to B.’
