STUART Mills, senior software developer, Jaama

It has been great to work in such a challenging environment.

What is the best part of your job?

Working with a team of committed, talented people.

What technology can fleets expect to see in the future?

Greater automation and integration with other systems, processes and services, joining together the supply, financial and operational areas to enable information to be entered once then flow seamlessly throughout the business. This will reduce duplication and costs.

How is technology helping fleet managers do their job better?

Software is making it much easier for fleet managers to see the bigger picture and actually manage their fleets. For example, online DVLA licence checking can ensure drivers hold a valid driving licence.

Which piece of technology could you not live without?

My mobile phone – as well as keeping me in touch it also doubles as an MP3 player.
