  • How was your first week at work?

    Busy – fleet management is constant and vigilance is required at all times. You have to hit the ground running.

  • How did you get into the automotive business?

    I was a motor vehicle apprentice with day release to college for four years.

    After repairing cars, I spent six years at an Austin Rover dealership starting in service reception before moving to aftersales manager. I started in fleet management in 1990.

    What are you working on at the moment?

    Managing the purchase and rotation of an ever-growing fleet.

  • How will your role change over the next few years?

    My workload will increase as the company continues to expand. Therefore my budget and scrutiny of how it is used will increase.

  • Would you recommend the fleet industry as a career?

    Definitely. Fleet offers excellent opportunities for people from all backgrounds.
