Summer time officially ends on Sunday when the clocks go back by an hour and drivers travelling in the late afternoon will be using the roads at dusk instead of daylight.

The clock change means brighter mornings but darker evenings, so the Highways Agency is reminding all road users to make sure they can be easily seen, especially at night, on dark days and in bad weather.

Drivers should also be aware that low winter sun can cause glare on the roads.
