Avis appoints new corporate social responsibility manager

Avis has appointed Jason van Zuydam as corporate social responsibility manager, EAMEA, as part of its commitment to reducing the group’s environmental impact.

Jason’s role has been introduced to increase CSR focus and expertise across Avis’ EAMEA business.

“We have many environmental initiatives across our European operations. Jason’s appointment will help us consolidate these activities into a common framework to ensure they are as effective as possible in meeting our longer term environmental goals,” said Lesley Colyer, director group HR and corporate affairs, Avis Europe.

“His experience will help us to lead the industry in best practice.”

Mr van Zuydam’s responsibilities will include an audit of environmental impacts, setting environmental targets and strategic direction for all areas of the Avis Europe business.
