Vauxhall has brought out a less hardcore alternative to its Corsa VXR super-hatch.

The SRi is powered by either a 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine with 148bhp or a 123bhp 1.7-litre CDTi diesel engine.

The SRi apes the look of the VXR with a sportier chassis, front spoiler, side skirts, 17-inch alloys and tailgate spoiler.

Prices start at £13,625 for the three-door petrol, rising to £14,885 for the five-door diesel.
