Blue light fleets adopt fleet software

Fleet software is playing a central role in helping public sector fleets move to integrate and centralise their vehicle operations.

Cfc says that specialist solutions help public sector organisations, particularly those operating blue light fleets, to realise the benefits of centralising operations.

"We have worked with a number of public sector fleets, notably in the blue light sector, who have gone through a process of centralisation.

They have entered the exercise with worthwhile and clear objectives in place - to maximise control, increase spending power, raise service levels and cut costs,” cfc’s Andy Leech explained.

"But these things do not happen automatically when you centralise.

New structures need to be put in place and, crucially, you need to be able to measure your progress. These are areas where fleet software comes into its own."
