AA Accident Management has become the latest company to be listed as meeting the Fleet News charter for fleet suppliers.

The firm was nominated by Liz Hollands, fleet manager of DTZ Debenham Tie Leung, for the standards of its work, which meets the criteria laid down in the charter.

Hollands, who runs a fleet of 530 vehicles, said: “AA Accident Management efficiently and proactively manages all aspects of our claims from start to finish, resulting in reduced downtime and successful uninsured loss recovery – all with a friendly and helpful attitude. We don’t need to chase them, they chase us.”

The charter was created following a debate at the Fleet News Hit for Six conference in 2006 and was based on the comments of fleet decision-makers about the service standards they would like met.

After a year of development and consultation with the industry, it is hosted on the Fleet News website, along with the names of companies that have achieved the status and their nominees.

Companies listed include Automotive Leasing, Days Contract Hire, Drive and Survive, ING Car Lease, Gilder Volkswagen, Lex, MNH Vehicle Contracts and Premier Recoveries.

Several more companies have been nominated and will be listed on the site shortly
