  • What are the main aspects of your job?
    Business development, raising national awareness of Ben and team building.

  • Are you using your previous experience gained at RoSPA in your new role?
    Yes, there are many similarities as there is great synergy between business development and fundraising.

  • What are you working on at the moment?
    Creating a three-year business plan which will allow for significant growth in our fundraising.

  • Is the new role what you imagined it would be?
    Absolutely. I came into this role with my eyes wide open and it is exactly as I expected it would be.

  • What are your priorities?
    To ensure we hit budget and maintain it while creating a small surplus. We need to make up our £500,000 deficit from our previous financial year.

  • Do you find it easy to relax after work?
    Yes and no. When I get home at the end of the day my children normally demand my attention and then, before I know it, it’s time for bed, or another email.
