Police speeder

Former traffic policeman, Med Hughes, has been disqualified for 42 days at Wrexham magistrates court for driving at 90mph in a 60mph zone.

Mr Hughes was a prominent advocate of speed cameras and a zero tolerance approach to speeding motorists.

He was detected speeding in north Wales in his private vehicle earlier this year.
