Seat’s new Leon Cupra performance model goes on sale in UK showrooms today and is priced at £19,595 on-the-road.

The new model is powered by a 238bhp 2.0-litre T FSI engine, which can sprint from 0-62mph in 6.4 seconds, before going on to a top speed of 153mph.

Enhancements over the Leon FR models include 18-inch alloy wheels, red brake callipers, bi-xenon headlights, racing-style front bucket seats, Seat SOUND exhaust system, a lowered ride height, aluminium front suspension components, twin-zone climate control, four electric windows, steering-wheel mounted radio controls, trip computer with cruise control, and ESP (electronic stabilisation programme).

In keeping with Cupra tradition, elements such as the pillars, door mirrors, lower front spoiler and interior trim are finished in black.
