VOLKSWAGEN will feed new information to potential customers on its new small-SUV, the Tiguan, through a new microsite.

Registering at www.volkswagen.co.uk/tiguan will allow users entry to the ‘Tiguan Base’ site. Users will be able to access the first images of the car’s final shape when it’s unveiled in June and will be the first to receive information on the lead up to its launch in 2008.

VW has set its sights on the Land Rover Freelander market with the Tiguan, which made its debut at the Los Angeles Motor Show last year. It is powered by a BlueTec diesel engine, which has a nitrogen oxide trap converter designed to reduce the oxides emitted by up to 90% over current diesel units.

The Eye-catching Tiguan features an electric orange paintjob, distressed leather interior and and a set of 19-inch Continental tyres complete with interwoven orange tread.

Sales of the Tiguan in the UK are expected to start in 2008 with prices and specifications being announced nearer the time.
